Is bypass surgery a permanent cure from heart-ailment casued by the sudden blockage of veins and arteries which carry blood from all parts of the body to the heart? Though the question appears, to be a confounding one there is an answer availble with Mr. Kesharichandjee Mehta of Malegaon who quoted Dr. Manubhai Kothary of Bombay as saying that western heart - specialists have now come to the conclusion that bypass surgery for heart ailments does not provide permainent relief. According to him it is just a temporary remedy for a heart ailment.
Mr. Satyanarayana Dalmia, though an engineer but now a cloth merchant of Forbesganj, handed over to this scribe a written statement of Chauthmal Goenka, in which the experience of Mr. Kesharichandjee Mehta, Mr. Goenks's freind, hass been recorded.
According to Mr. Goenka his friend, Mr. Mehta, aspproached Dr. Kothary for a bypass surgery. To his great dismay, Dr. Kothary, instead of admitting him for operation, advised him to take recourse to alternative system of medicines. He said that even in America the people have opted for these sure cures in place of bypass surgery.
Dr. Kothary of K.E.M. Hospital , Bombay treated Mr. Mehta with the juice of pumpkin which is called in different names in Hindi such as Kaddu, Ghia, Lauki, etc.
As per the self-felt experiences of Mr. Mehta, the doctor explained to him in detail the process of preparation of medicine from the juice of the pumpkin. The fresh pumpkin is to be ground and the, juice should be mixed with fresh water. 125-150 grams of juice must become 250-3OO grams when mixed with water. Powder of four grams of black pepper should be mixed with the juice. One gram of Sendha Namak should also be added to it. This preparation should be taken thrice a day after every meal. According to Mr. Mehta, in the beginning it, may cause stomach disturbances, but gradually everything returns to normalcy after a while.
Regular doses of pumpkin juice proved to be the cure for Mr. Mehta's heart ailment and the man who was not able to walk even one mile, now very efficiently, traverses 10 miles. He became free from panting and abnormal beatings of the heart and other related troubles.
Mr. Melita's written experiences inspires confidence and he advises the people to apply this desi cure instead of going in for bypass surgery. Mr. Satyanarayana Dalniia, too, has experimented with this medicine and has told this scribe that it had a miraculous effect on controlling his high blood pressure. He is still using it and he feels very well. Morning walks, vegetarian diets and freedom from tensions are the necessary adjuncts to this remedy. Mr. Dalmia added.
