May it please Your gracious Excellency,

This is to draw YE's gracious attention to a traditional Rajasthani system of healing, as we have been informed, which is highly efficacious.

The story goes like this: Mar 30, 2006 en route to Om Kerala Massage Centre in Kandivali West, Mumbai, I had been accosted by a person who told me that he had treatment for joint pains which required no medication. Intrigued though yet suspicious, I gave him our cell #s.

He visited us March 31 with his ustad known as Hakim Bhai.

Hakim Bhai treated my wife for swellings and pains in her knees and upper back.

The system is outrageously simple -- he uses a brass cone 2" long with a dia of about a half inch with a hole at its apex. He makes slight incissions on the affected part, places the cone on it and sucks with his mouth creating a vacuum. He seals the aperture using bee wax and lets it be there for about a half minute. On removing the cone, one notices yellow liquid of varying consistency which has oozed out from the affected area. The process is repeated until fresh blood flows out. In my wife's case, he did it an average of 50 times on each side of her knees.

The result of all this was that my wife felt mighty comfortable. The swelling in her knees had disappeared and she was able to walk comfortably. The incisions had left her uncomfortable. He repeated the same process on her left upper back 126 times with the result that all the pain in her left side disappeared and she could talk and breathe normally.This morning he did it for 26 times on her lower back bringing her further relief.

She has been feeling weakened from this treatment, but certainly in better spirits. Hakim Bhai explained that it would take a few days for the fluid to be reconstituted between her knee cap and joint.

He claims that he has cured hundreds of people using this method -- those who have lost their mobility. He also claims to extract snake venom from bites.

YE will agree that this process is certainly worth proper scientific investigation. He has given his name as Md. Hakim Bhai, Rajasthani Hakim, Noorani Masjid, Anjuman Quarters, Room # 6, Nasik Rd., Bhiwandi, Thane West, Cell # 09892891922.There seems to be a catch however -- he refused to let us take his photograph.Then the cost of the treatment is eminently negotiable. When he had first come, he had asked for Rs. 300/- per cupping and removal. Thus the total for us had come to a mind boggling Rs. 1,08,000/- an amount we were hardpressed to come up with in Mumbai at such a short notice.

We had visited the local ICICI Bank branch only to be told a few wonderful things concerning which I have already petitioned YE. What is the more fascinating is that he refused our offer to pay him the full amount by bank draft, insisting he wanted cash.

At the end of the day, he accepted a total of Rs.63K which I had withdrawn variously from my ICICI a/c and Citi a/c Mar 31, Ap 1 and this morning. This was a welcome relief in that it worked out to Rs. 180/- per cupping, an infinitely more reasonable figure.

There remains the nagging possibility however of the credentials of this person as also Raju Bhai Malsihwala.

Why is it that they insist on cash payments instead of bank drafts?

Could it be they are avoiding paying taxes?

Could it be that the money is being used for anti national activities?

It is our humble petition that YE have this person investigated just in case he is linked to terrorist organisations or the underworld.

My distinct feeling is that his roots lie in some powerful organisation which may or may not be working for the benefit of the nation.
